Hypothyroidism and Hypertension are not diseases, but symptoms of physical, chemical and emotional injury. Let us briefly see each symptom and how to treat it.
Hypothyroidism
‘Thyroid problem’ is a common term used to denote the under functioning of the thyroid gland also known as hypothyroidism
There are 2 main reasons for the under functioning of the thyroid.
1) Relationship between thyroid and adrenal systems
There is a relationship between the adrenal and thyroid hormone systems in the human body. The adrenal gland produces hormones like adrenaline during emergency or stressful situations, whereas the thyroid gland produces hormones for normal vital functions of the body. Like a binary system, both cannot function at the same levels. When more adrenalin is pumped (during stress), thyroid comes down and vice-versa.So, if adrenaline levels are normalised by reducing stress, then thyroid functioning can also be normalised.
2) Intake of chemicals like fluorine, chlorine and bromine
The fundamental requirement for the production of thyroid hormones T4 and T3 is Iodine from our food intake. There are other substances similar to Iodine like Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine that fall under the same category in the Periodic table of elements because of similar atomic numbers (if you can recollect your school chemistry). The intake of Fluorine(via toothpaste), Chlorine (via chlorinated water) and Bromine (used to make bread brown) makes the body assume them as iodine, because of the similar atomic numbers. So, thyroid functioning reduces.
Another reason for hypothyroid problems in postmenopausal women may be due to the use of plastic containers. The chemicals of plastic leaches into the food and water. The similarity of the composition of plastic to the hormone oestrogen is the underlying problem.
When a person goes do a doctor with a thyroid problem, the doctor gives them tests, observes the thyroid levels and prescribes medicines. Instead of doing that, they have to observe the underlying cause for the under functioning of the thyroid gland and solve the root cause of the problem.
Once the root cause of the hypothyroidism is identified, the problem can be solved.
